Why you should buy a car seat for your dog
 A dog car seat allows you to take your dog in the car safely and comfortably.
Another advantage is that you can attach your dog to the car seat. This prevents your dog from distracting you or crawling on your lap while driving.
It also prevents your dog from suddenly flying through the car when you have to brake unexpectedly

The size of a car seat
It's important to buy a car seat that fits the size of your dog.
A car seat does not have to be the size of his dog basket.
As a guideline, use the dog's back length or measure the space your dog needs when seated. Then take that space very generously.
A larger car seat is of course more comfortable than a too-small car dog seat.

Safety and fastening of the dog car seat.
The car seats you find in our webshop all have a 3 double safety.
The car basket comes with a belt that attaches to the backrest.
At the back of the car basket there are 2 loops where you can slide the car belt through and click it into place. In the car seat there are 2 adjustable leashes with buckles to which you attach your dog to his harness. ( or 2 smaller dogs)

Material.
The dog car seats are made of material that can take a beating. Consideration has been given to mud paws, wet dogs and sharp nails.
The outside is of a sturdy textile leather. The inside of a fabric that does not hold dog hair.
The outer fabric is waterproof to prevent accidents on your car seat. The inner cushion is removable and can be washed in the washing machine.
A damp cloth and a vacuum cleaner will go a long way.

Cleaning the car seat basket.
If the car seat really needs a thorough cleaning, it can be completely washed in the washing machine on a gentle cycle (30g). By means of a zipper you can remove the car seat in 2 parts so it easily fits in the washing machine. Let it dry naturally after washing and then zipper it back together to use

Extra tips when using a Dog car seat
Always use a dog harness and preferably not a collar.
If you attach your dog to the car seat by its collar, your dog is likely to suffer injuries to its neck when you have to brake suddenly.
Preferably place the car basket on the back seat behind the driver's seat.  Then you can keep a close eye on your dog via the rear view mirror.
If you put the car basket on the passenger seat, make sure that the airbag is deactivated there.
